Submissions for Solo Shows at WAAM in 2018 are open to artists living within a 50 mile radius of Woodstock.

The juror is Kenise Barnes, director and owner of Kenise Barnes Fine Art. She has degrees in Fine Art and in Women’s Studies and was the specialist in charge of contemporary art at Christie’s East. With more than 20 years experience in the arts, Kenise is a gallery director, independent curator, exhibition juror, and art advisor.

There is no submission fee for currently paid-up members of WAAM. All artists chosen for Solo Shows must be WAAM members at the time of their show.

All media are accepted. All work must be in good condition and ready to hang or install. Any special installation needs (such as computer or video equipment) must be supplied by artist for the duration of the show and should be noted in submission. The WAAM reserves the right to reject works that do not comply with these guidelines or are otherwise found to be unsuitable for display.

Submit up to 10 images (jpgs only). Please name jpgs with your last name, then your first name plus a number in sequence. For instance: SmithJane1, SmithJane2, etc. Video artists may submit one text document with up to 3 links to files to be reviewed. Provide title, date and running time for each link.

You are required to provide a list of the images you have submitted. List images in order: SmithJane1, Smith Jane2, etc. Include title, medium, size, retail price and insurance value for each entry. Retail price should include WAAM’s 40% commission on sales. If work is not for sale, enter NFS for price, but make sure to include insurance value.

You will also need to upload your resume and/or artist statement.
