Format

• Open to members of WAAM whose last names begin with letters A through F
• Size limit 15 x 15” framed, 24” x 24" x 24" for sculpture
• There is no predetermined theme—all work is eligible
• All artwork must be clean, framed, wired and ready to hang. (no sawtooth hangers, or fishline)
• All work must be for sale
• Artists will submit up to 1 jpg/png/mp3/mov file. All media are welcome
• You must have means to transport the work to WAAM
• Artists receive 60% of sales during the run of the exhibition. WAAM retains 40% of sales

ABOUT THE CALL FOR ENTRIES

FOCUS: In Flux: Change is one of those life forces that – however bedeviling and beguiling – is unavoidable. It manifests in ways that are incremental as well as very suddenly transformative. All around and within us, shifts take place that spool into new outcomes and experiences. How does this state of flux manifest within your creative work? Are chemical or physical shifts significant in your use of materials? Are you presenting concerns with the fleeting, ephemeral qualities of time or matter?

This exhibition will consider how notions of change are expressed pictorially and conceptually through a variety of media. All mediums are welcome, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, and mixed media. We invite artists to explore and express their interpretation of flux in its many forms and manifestations.

As a Focus exhibition, 8-10 artists will be selected to display a small body of work, approximately 2-6 works each, on the wall or floor. 

FORMAT

Open to all artists within 50 miles of WAAM

8-10 artists, 2-6 works each

Artists will submit up to 6 jpg files of works for the juror’s consideration. 

Artists must live within a 50-mile radius of Woodstock, NY.

All media will be considered. Submissions can range from, (but aren’t limited to), painting,

sculpture, video, photography, drawing, sound and music. There are no size restrictions.

· Artists must be able to transport or ship work to WAAM. Shipped work must contain a prepaid

return label.

· All work should be in good condition and ready to hang or install.

· Any special installation needs must be supplied by the artist for the duration of the show and

should be noted in their submission.

· All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed. No reproductions.

· You may not submit artwork that was accepted into a previous juried group show.

· WAAM reserves the right to reject works that do not comply with these guidelines or are

otherwise found to be unsuitable for display.

· WAAM takes a 40% commission on sales in support of its programs. Artists should consider

this when pricing submitted work.

$35 Application Fee for non-members. Members apply for free
